Power of Prayer
Prayer Ministry

The Village Baptist Church Prayer Ministry serves to offer prayer and support to members and attendees. We are committed to the power of prayer.

Do you have a prayer need? Whether you are a member of The Village Baptist Church or just visiting us, we would like to pray with you or for you. Please let us pray for your needs and concerns by sending us your prayer request. We believe that God hears and answers prayer. He doesn't always answers our prayers when or how we may expect Him to, but as we discover His answers, we grow in our understanding and love of God.

When you need help, call on God through prayer.

You can add your request to our Prayer Focus in one of three ways:
  • Contact us online with your request and contact information.
  • Call in your requests to the office 561-687-0337.
  • Use the form provided in the pews on Sunday morning. Simply write down your request and place the form in the offering plate when it passes by.

Thank you for allowing us to pray for you. God Bless!

"And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ...
Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance.
The Lord be with you all!

2 Thessalonians 3:5,16

What does the Bible tell us about Prayer?

Prayer connects us with God.

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."  Hebrews 4:16

Prayer brings pleasure to God.

"The prayer of the upright is His delight."  Proverbs 15:18

Prayer must be with the right heart attitude.

"You do not have because you do not ask, you ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures."
But let him ask in faith..."    James 4:2,3   James 1:6a

Prayer is answered by God.

"Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."  Jeremiah 33:3

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you..."  Matthew 7:7

Prayer is the believer's conversation with God.

"Prayer is simply talking to God.  He is not so concerned with the words you use, as he is with the attitude of your heart."  Bill Bright, Founder & Chairman of Campus Crusade for Christ
